Abstract

Tourism is an essential part of cross-cultural sphere of human activity which creates a platform for international business and world cognition under the conditions of globalization.
The article provides a definition of cross-cultural competence and dwells upon its integral parts such as theoretical knowledge about one’s native culture and the cultures of other nations, psychological features of a personality and knowledge of foreign languages.
It is pointed out that cultural sphere is not only important for the relations between countries, but also for the friendly relations on the social level between certain nations. Taking this factor into account, the article describes the story of relations between Ukraine and Israel in general, and between Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University and Ariel University in particular.
As a result of such a cooperation the sports-cognitive route has been developed with an average duration of 4-8 hours, whose purpose is cognitive activity of the population by means of sports and crosscultural training of specialists in the field of tourism.
The conducted study found out that the agreement between the two universities aims at the easement of collaboration and cooperation between two institutions in order to enhance their contribution into education and science on the international arena.
