Education of Kakhovka on the way to «New Ukrainian school»

Abstract

This article is devoted to the state of educational sphere in the town of Kakhovka, Kherson region in the context of challenges, school faces in the conditions of the reform and tasks of «New Ukrainian school». The achievements and problem issues are outlined buy students’ parents as a result of the survey carried out in June 2017. Parents, in particular, highly appreciated the quality of school education (80%). At the same time the problem of overload of students’ backpacks (45%) and school curriculum (43%) were singled out. These findings have become the basis of «The roadmap of the development of education sector in the town of Kakhovka» that was approved by the decision of the session Kakhovka town Council on December 22, 2017.
